Did you know that eating baguettes on the street is a faux-pas in
Btw: if by any chance you can’t manage to finish your baguette
in one go and you don't want it to get soggy by the next
morning, simply roll your leftover baguette up in a linen cloth or tea towel –
voilá!

Lovelies, are you baguette fans? What’s your favourite take
on it? (I like it simple, just with salted butter).
P.S: Also, homemade French nutella croissants:)

How intersting and it makes sense. I'll be thinking about baugettes all day now Diana. Making note right now to pick one up after work and try it with salted butter. Cheers, Grace.
Never heard of that and my french boyfried always comes home with a baguette that is missing one end ;)
Maybe it's a no no in Paris but alright in Provence he he.
never knew about the towel trick! - gotta use that - i LOVEEEEEEEEEE bread - i mean any and all bread!
haha, good to know since I'll be there soon!! ;) XO
Cute pics...
didn't know its not acceptable to eat your baguettes on the street,
but they are so tasty and I want to get my hand on them as soon as I bought them... Oh maybe I'll just sit on a park and eat them there.
Erm, then I'd be faux pas -ing all over the place. It's hard to resist fresh, warm French bread!
Love them.
butter, please.
baguettes always remind me of that Flight of the Concords episode. So silly :)

I would have never known! I am wiser now, should I find myself in Paris with a baguette and tummy grumbles!
Enjoy it, Grace:) I hope you will love it. Btw: I keep on thinking about them now too...haha
Sini, how awesome that your boyfriend is French. He must have the cutest accent:)
Erika, it really works!
I never knew that. I think I would nibble a little anyway. :)
yikes, never would have known.
that first picture is the postcard i bought for myself on our honeymoon in france...thanks for the reminder.
and you're right...just butter!!
Great tip. I'll keep it in mind next time i buy a baguette!
XOXO
Had one today, did wait, but have been known to break a piece, oops. I cut my left overs and put in a small sandwich bag, but I'll try your way too. Love it plain, nothing but bread. Yum....good with a demi-espresso.
who knew?! I always thought french people were staring at me because I was a tourist who didn't fit in, it was probably because I was eating a baguette while walking around!
simply blythe, aww that is so sweet and how romantic that you went for your honeymoon to France. Swoon!
Michelle :)
Monica, I just got one this morning and while walking back home I kept on thinking if I should nibble the end of it or not...giggle.
Heading to Paris next year-good to know :)
That is awesome, Jana:)
glad i saw this-will need it in a few weeks. i don't get why this is a no no but with crepe stands, etc, there is clearly outdoor eating that happens, so why not the baguette?
the cape on the corner, baguettes are a huge food symbol so probably that's why, but I am not totally sure.
